On my system (Linux) this works unpredictably,sometimes the desktop shortcut is created successfully,some other times instead it creates a weird text file on the desktop,as it happens with this very same site:if I drag the favicon on the desktop,it triggers a process similar to a file copy operation and the final result is this weird text file that looks like a summary of the page source.

This will open the location of the shortcut in Windows Explorer, you can then drag the shortcut to the desktop while holding the control key to copy it there. I can see the iTunes tile in the start menu tiles. But I get a circle with a backslash in it when I try to crtl-drag it to the desktop.
